Youngest Smokers in Shenzhen was 6

Nearly 7 in 100 students in Shenzhen of Grade 1 to Grade 12 smoke cigarettes, and 6-year-old was the youngest age on smoking, revealed Shenzhen Center for Chronic Disease Control.

In this survey, 10.1% male students smoked whilst 2.7% female ones did. Among of these kids and aldos smokers, 2.2% have been consuming in the past two weeks.

Tobacco Control Office, a branch department in Health and Family Planning Commission of Shenzhen Municipality led this survey last year. 72 primary schools, middle schools, high schools, and vocational college joined in the survey. 5,611 students above Grade 4 took the questionnaire.

77.7% students were not refused when buying tobaccos. Only 22.3% were refused for under 18-year-old.
